Tournament ads have outperformed the average primetime programming in each of the past three years, with last year’s title game between UConn and Purdue delivering 64% more effectiveness than the primetime benchmark.

  • A second-round tilt between North Carolina and Michigan State had the most effective ads of March Madness 2024, outperforming the average tournament game by 41%.
  • Ads during the 2024 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament (excluding the championship game) were 9% more effective than they’d been in 2023.
  • Ads during the 2024 title game between Purdue and UConn were 29% more effective than the average game during the 2024 Men’s NCAA Basketball Tournament.
